How to Be Thankful

As you all know, now is the start for the season of giving and being thankful. Past grudges and hatreds can be ignored or removed, so as to make room for those warm feelings. Happiness and gratitude is shown without so much as a thought of something in return.

It is also a time of gathering with family and expressing what you are thankful for. Throughout the year people become busy and do not make time for what is truly important. But Christmas, Kwanzaa, and Thanksgiving are celebrations of kindness, giving, and gratitude. These are places full of joy, peace, and love.

So no matter what holiday you are celebrating, spend it with the people who matter most and do not dwell on the things that don't.

How to Prepareth the Perfect Thanksgiving Turkey(Shakespearean Style)

Oh Turkey, sweet Turkey. 'Tis the scrumptious sepulchre of the meal. Once thou hast partaken of this Turkey, thou shalt know of it's divine taste.

First, one must cull a turkey to their liking. Thy turkey must be round and plump in order to be deemed satisfactory in thine eyes.

Second, with a paroxysm of fire, cook the turkey 'til sides turn a golden brown, not unlike the Autumn's leaves. Then turn down the heat in order to let the turkey exude it's rich juices. If thou does not do it just so, thy turkey will bilk thee of it's flavor.

Finally, serve the turkey in whatever which way is pleasing to behold to thyself and those who will enjoyest this meal with thee.

Havest Thou A Merry Thanksgiving!!!!!

A Song

Here's a song I wrote for my Music Composition class. It's called Who Am I?.

Who Am I?

There's a question inside of me,
And it's waiting to burst out.
But the answer comes with a price
Of discovery and doubt.
People tell me I should give up.
They will never understand
How much I have to do this.
I will find out who I am.

Chorus:
Who am I today? Tomorrow?
Am I special? Am I beautiful?
Wonderful, wild, and crazy too?
I will sing it at the top of my lungs,
'Cause there is nothing at all stopping me,
From finding out who I will be.
Who am I?

Tears come without my beckoning,
Reminders of my mistakes.
Falling down all over again,
I remember what it takes.
So I'll pick myself up off the floor,
Dust my shoes and wave goodbye.
Because life is one big journey
I'll start with questioning why.

Chorus:
Who am I today? Tomorrow?
Am I special? Am I beautiful?
Wonderful, wild, and crazy too?
I will sing it at the top of my lungs,
'Cause there is nothing at all stopping me,
From finding out who I will be.
Who am I?

I thought it was all one big test.
With the answer hard to find.
Come to realize all the searching,
Was for something deep inside.

Chorus:
Who am I today? Tomorrow?
I am special. I am beautiful.
Wonderful, wild, and crazy too.
I will sing it at the top of my lungs,
'Cause there is nothing at all stopping me,
From finding out who I will be.
Who am I?
I am me.

How to Relax (Brian Reghan Style)

Do you feel tired, stressed, or fatigue? Then you've come to the right place. Here are three simple steps to feel relaxed.

First, imagine a pretzel and try to form the shape with your body . It's as simple as folding your feet behing the middle of your back. Pretend there are no bones in your body and relax....

Second, play a complex game of Twister with a buddy you refuse to lose to. Make sure all of your limbs are securly intertwined to the point where breathing to loudly would make you fall, and relax...

Finally, exit this window, grab your favorite stuffed animal, crawl into your bed, and relax...

If you are still reading this, repeat steps 1 and 2.

How to Connect With Your Soul

I was listening to a playlist on my Ipod and it got me thinking on how music can really affect someone. Not only is music a profession, but a way of expression that goes deeper than just words. Music has power, a power that can change moods, unite a group of people, and give someone something to stand for. With so many different types of genres and artists, it's bound to make a difference at least once in someone's life. A wedding song, an ispirational hymn, or tune you can jam out to, are all personal representations of the art of music. Music is an artist's form of expression that goes directly into a person's heart and soul. It honestly is a way of connecting to your soul.

As the saying goes, eyes are the window into the soul, but, music is the key to unlocking the door.
